Can I stop or disable jhi_service.exe?

The filename alone cannot establish trust. Malware can reuse a familiar process name, while a genuine Intel service can fail because its package is damaged. Check these signals together:
- Path: the service command should point to the Intel/OEM package or its DriverStore component, not a user-writable folder such as
%LOCALAPPDATA%,%TEMP%, Downloads, or a random Startup folder. - Signature: verify the Digital Signatures tab and signer chain. Do not trust only the Company name shown in Task Manager.
